Please include the following items:

  • A brief description of the project
  • A set of prints containing:
    • Electrical schematics
    • Bill of Materials (BOM)
    • Enclosure layout/mechanical drawings
  • List of any specific requirements including:
    • Electrical codes
    • Wire color
    • Specific brands or manufacturers
    • Etc.

Quality Assurance Checklist:
Control Panels, PLC Controllers, Pneumatics

  • Separate conductors by current and voltage.
  • Check proper wire size for different ampere ratings.
  • Verify all circuit breakers are sized for proper amperage.
  • All circuit breakers checked for proper function.
  • All fusing meets schematic and code requirements.
  • All voltages are properly color coded according to schematic and code requirements.
  • All terminal blocks are sized correctly.
  • Check all power supplies are correctly wired and protected.
  • Check that all PLC cards are properly installed and wired (if PLC controller is installed).
  • Any/all fan units are installed and operating correctly (including correct air flow and direction).
  • Exterior devices are properly gasketed and secured.
  • Pneumatic devices properly tubed.
  • Ensure air filter(s) are properly installed.
  • Ensure all air regulators are properly installed.
  • Ensure that all bulkhead fittings are secure, properly tightened, and sealed.
  • All necessary warning labels are correctly placed.
  • Complete continuity check performed.
  • Ensure finished unit is clean and dirt free.

Quality Assurance Checklist:
Disconnect, Motor Starter, VFD Panels

  • All contactors are rated for designated motor voltage and horsepower (HP).
  • All overloads rated for proper Full Load Amps (FLA).
  • Contactors and/or Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) are sized to meet field motor HP, phasing, and FLA.
  • All fusing properly sized for contactor and/or VFD protection and field motor protection.
  • Field terminal blocks are rated for proper FLA (if overloads are tied to terminal blocks).
  • Disconnect is properly sized to meet overall voltage, current, and horsepower requirements.
  • Disconnect handle properly installed and operating.
  • All disconnect linkages work properly (including lockout device and disconnect defeater).
  • Control transformer(s) wired according to stated voltage on schematics (both primary and secondary).
  • All control wiring properly sized per amperage ratings listed on schematics.
  • All duct wires are cleanly placed and routed.
  • All wires are correctly marked according to schematic.
  • All components are correctly labeled according to schematic.
  • All necessary warning labels are correctly placed.
  • Exterior devices are properly gasketed and secured.
  • Complete continuity check performed.
  • Ensure finished unit is clean and dirt free.
